2023年3月、日本のシューズブランド「スイコック」からトゥアレグ族と旅をしながらカタログ撮影をしたいという依頼があって、そのための特別なエリキツアーを企画しました。友人のカメラマン名越啓介さんが紹介してくれたスイコックは、日本のブランド企業としてはじめてアルジェリアの砂漠を舞台にすることを決めました。ジャネットからリビアの国境に広がる「赤いタドラート」は、オレンジ色の砂丘を囲む巨大な岩盤の稀有な景色が150キロも広がり、麒麟や象の岩絵もたくさん残っている絶景です。モロッコの砂漠と違って誰もすれ違いませんでした。二週間目はタッシリナジェール砂漠を７人のトゥアレグとラクダ15頭のキャラバンと一緒に移動しながら、スイコックの撮影が続きました。ソーラーパネルが付いたラクダの上で、手綱を持ちながら写真を撮る名越さんの姿を見て、「これはサハラ・エリキだ！」と私は自慢を覚えました。ラクダ乗りを教えるのも、自然エネルギーで砂漠を撮影するコツも、サハラ．エリキの大事な使命です！アルジェリアの砂漠で撮影されたスイコックのカタログは来年出版される予定です。

In march 2023, the Japanese shoes maker Suikoke came to visit us for a shooting in the desert during two weeks. Our friend photographer Nagoshi Keisuke was the key person to connect us to this project where for the first time, a fashion brand was coming to Algeria to shoot a catalog! We were very proud to assist them with our Sahara-Eliki team, driving them by car to the subliminal desert of Tadrart near Libyan border known for its red dunes and prehistoric rock carvings. We then headed back to Djanet oasis for a short break before travelling with the camels. We were very proud to see Nagoshi san riding his own camel and shooting with a camel charged with a solar panel, exactly the way i have shooted the “Caravan to the future” 20 years ago! We look forward to seeing the Suikoke catalog next year!

FEE  : 1300 € ~ 1700 € , from 2 to 6 persons, 7 days all included (Tuareg staff, food, car, camels, night in Djanet) . We take in charge the documents for the on-arrival visa.

The flight to Djanet is not included. Translator/coordinator for business trips on demand.
